It’s true. A Coca-Cola company, Vitaminwater will actually give one participant a $100,000 to renounce his/her smartphone for one complete year. That is some serious cash we’re talking about here. According to the company’s mentioned rules, this also includes tablets, and no, the participant can not borrow anyone else’s smartphone either. The registrations are still on and theĀ last date to enter is 8 January 2019. We will leave a link to the contest if you think you’re up for it.
As per Vitaminwater, the company believes a smartphone addiction takes away from a user many valuable experiences that he/she ought to have in life. This contest is a way to get some people to realise this. However, not everyone registering will be eligible for the money obviously. The company will select a candidate and give him/her a 1996-style feature phone that can make and take calls.

Also, do note that there are some things you’ll have to do to become the chosen candidate for the contest. First, you’ll have to post a message on Twitter or Instagram explaining how you will use you’re freed up time. Don’t forget these hashtags: #NoPhoneforaYear and #contest. And here’s the tricky part, your message has to stand out from all others and you can use four different messages.
