It appears Xiaomi’s December 24th event isn’t just about the Xiaomi Mi Play smartphone. The Chinese giant might also use the opportunity to announce an update to its Redmi series line of smartphones.
While it isn’t yet official, it appears the Xiaomi devices that appeared on the 3C certification page and TENAA a while back could be the Xaiomi Redmi 7 Pro. We say so because a photo of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 PRO has just surfaced on the net, which in essence confirms the existence of a Redmi 7 pro.
The device as we can see from the image below features a display notch(the water drop type) similar to the trending notch we have seen around recently. The package label reveals nothing other than the Mi Redmi 7 Pro.
There is no clarity as to which of the recently certified devices will eventually arrive as the Redmi 7 Pro, however, there are suspicions it could be the Xiaomi device that picked up China’s 3C certification a while ago. We are also not sure when exactly the phone will go official – either on December 24 when the Xiaomi Mi Play will go official or in the early days of 2019.
