Honor V20 is one of the first smartphones to come with a 48MP rear shooter. This smartphone arrived the market 20 days before the Redmi Note 7 which also use a 48MP rear camera. However, current sales records show that the Honor V20 sale so far is only one-third of the Redmi Note 7. Lu Weibing, vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of Redmi brand said that looking at the sales of the V20 on Jingdong and Tmall, the Redmi Note 7 is way ahead of this smartphone in terms of sales.
Like we mentioned earlier, both smartphone comes with a 48MP camera but the Redmi Note 7 uses a Samsung GM1 while the Honor V20 comes with an IMX586 sensor. In terms of quality, the IMX586 sensor is obviously better than the Samsung GM1 but the Redmi Note 7 has other qualities that are boosting its popularity.
However, Xiaomi founder and CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, confirmed at the Redmi Note 7 release conference that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be equipped with a Sony IMX586. This smartphone will be released after the Spring Festival.
