Chinese manufacturer, Meizu, is getting ready to unveil a couple of smartphones in the coming weeks. Meizu fans are curious about what to expect from this device and they never cease to ask questions. Today, a fan posted on the Meizu Community “If Meizu 16s does not have a triple camera setup, will you buy it?”Huang Zhang, founder, chairman and CEO of Meizu Technology, responded by saying that many cameras only add some auxiliary functions. The telephoto and wide-angle sub-cameras are far less than the main camera. Unless every camera is as good as the main camera, it does not add much difference.
Some other members of the community asked if the Meizu 16s will come with a 20MP Sony IMX350 + 12MP Sony IMX 380. Huang Zhang replied “its 48MP IMX586 + OIS (Optical Image Stabilization”. From previous information, this smartphone uses a 6.2-inch Samsung AMOLED display and it continues the Meizu 16th notch-less design but adds an on-screen fingerprint sensor.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In addition, Meizu 16s may have to raise prices. Huang Zhang said that the pursuit of cost-effective products will certainly be carefully calculated. From this point of view, Meizu 16s starting price may exceed 3,000 yuan ($447). Previously, Huang Zhang revealed that the Meizu 16s will be mass-produced in March and released in April/May.
