Sony Xperia 1 with SD855 & a 4K screen starts pre-sale in the UK

At MWC2019, Japanese manufacturer, Sony launched its 2019 flagship smartphone, Xperia 1, which is by far the most powerful Sony device. At the time, Sony did not announce the price of this flagship but the smartphone has now found its way to a store in the UK. According to British retailer, Clove Technology, the Sony Xperia 1 can be purchased for £849 ($1,112). However, those interested in this smartphone will have to wait until late May before it ships and this hone comes with a 2 years warranty.

The biggest highlight of the Sony Xperia 1 is the display. It uses a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display (with a resolution of 3840×1644) and a screen aspect ratio of 21:9, which makes it the world’s first 21:9 4K HDR flagship smartphone. Looking at the hardware details, the Sony Xperia 1 equipped with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 flagship platform coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On Clove, it is available in black, white, purple and grey colours.

In the camera department, the Xperia 1 comes with an 8MP selfie camera while at the rear, it has a triple camera setup which includes a 12MP wide angle + 12MP telephoto lens + 12MP super wide-angle camera. Its lights are kept on by a 3300mAh battery, supports wireless charging and IP68 dust and water resistance.

At present, the release date of this smartphone in China has not been announced. According to previous Sony flagship series pricing, the Chinese version is expected to exceed 5,000 yuan ($744), and we can not rule out the possibility of over 6000 yuan ($893). However, this is just a wide speculation and nothing more.
