The Galaxy S10 sales just began Worldwide, but whether or not the device will turn out to be the big hit that the company looks up to is yet to be known. While unverified pre-order reports for the Samsung Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10 Plus in Samsungs Homeland suggest a bleak future for the S10 family, reports from far away UK suggests otherwise.
In an official press release earlier today, Samsung Mobile revealed that its new S10 line-up has generated more pre-order sales than any Samsung smartphone sold in the United Kingdom. Per the release, the most premium of the trio – the Galaxy S10+ has accounted for 57% of sales, showing a rising trend of consumers opting for high-performance handsets, while the Prism Black remains the most popular color of choice, accounting for 47% of total S10 line-up sales.
Conor Pierce, Corporate VP, Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland: ‘Our Galaxy S10 line-up builds on a decade of industry leadership, delivering breakthrough camera, display and performance features which continue to excite our customers, as shown by our record-breaking pre-order results. It’s encouraging to see such a positive response to our new product line-up, across the ecosystem and including the new Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watch Active, meaning that we are offering a greater range of choice than ever. This year, we will continue to invest in innovation with our S10 5G handset and Galaxy Fold coming later this year, ushering in a new era of smartphone technology and connectivity’.
The tenth anniversary Galaxy S10 lineup is expected to rake in more sales and revenue for the Korean company given that new S family offers a greater range of devices to a larger consumer base. Much like other parts of the World, Samsung is already taking deliveries of the Galaxy S10 series to those who pre-ordered the device at launch.
