Huawei caught cheating with Huawei P30 Pro promotional photos

P30 Pro

Huawei has recently published some examples of images as part of a campaign dedicated to the Huawei P30 Pro camera, but instead it seems they were made using a DSLR.

This is not the first time that the Chinese manufacturer has used this “trick” to enhance the potential of a smartphone camera and the last time something similar happened in August 2018 with the Huawei Nova 3.

To make the situation even more embarrassing, some of the photos uploaded to Huawei’s official Weibo account were stock images and not their original DSLR shots (for example, a photo showing an erupting volcano turned out to be a stock image of Getty Images).

However, Huawei has expressed itself immediately with an official position, trying to limit the damage and explaining that the images are for illustrative purposes only.

Recall that, according to what emerged until today, Huawei P30 Pro should have a stunning photographic compartment with four sensors, including a periscope and a 7x zoom.
