Ren Guoqiang, a spokesperson for the Chinese MND, said that Huawei is a self-developed private enterprise with no called military background whatsoever thus cannot be involved in military research. In addition to the Chinese MND spokesperson, Chinese Defense Minister, Wei Fenghe, also said that Huawei is a private enterprise and that Huaweiâs bosses should not be considered to be related to the military because they were former military personnel. He said this at the Shangri-La Dialogue held in Singapore.

He charged the company to pull the world forward, create standards by itself, and become the most advanced company in the world. “This year we will recruit 20-30 talented youngsters from all over the world.
