Honor Band 5 and Honor MagicBook Pro Coming On July 23

Honor MagicBook Pro

Honor will unleash new products at the conference, which is set to happen on July 23. Many think this event will be held for the Honor 9X smartphone. Of course, the latter will be in the spotlight. We are talking about the world’s second smartphone powered with a Kirin 810 chip. This SoC is known as the fourth chip running on a 7nm process node. Honestly, its running scores are not impressive. However, yesterday, Zhao Ming announced they are going to launch a new product, namely the Honor Smart Screen. We have had some doubts there will be a TV, a notebook, and the Honor Band as well. The former one is already confirmed. So what about the next two?

Today, the company issued a statement, saying there will be new Honor Band and new Honor notebook products. Though there is no confirmation about the names and models of the upcoming products, we are sure the Honor Band 5 and Honor MagicBook Pro will attend the stage.

Honor Band 5

Previously, Zhao Ming has already exposed the upcoming Honor Band 5 through his Weibo channel. The photo showed the forthcoming smartband won’t differ from the previous Honor Band 4 much in terms of appearance. However, the company has added a blood oxygen detection function. This will enable users to better understand their physical condition.

Interestingly, the new Honor MagicBook will be released as well. It’s rumored the new laptop will be called the Honor MagicBook Pro. It’s going to be the first large-screen, thin, and light laptop of the company. But we are sure it will look like its founding father, coming with the narrow-border design of the Huawei MateBook. At the same time, we expect the camera will be hidden in the keyboard.

Honor MagicBook Pro

At the end of June, we saw the leaked photos showing the new Magicbook Pro design. The screen of the Honor laptop is expected to be between 16.1 inches and 15.6 inches. There should be large speaker openings on the left and right sides of the keyboard. So it may continue to carry Dolby panoramic sound. In addition, the Honor Magicbook Pro will also support Magic Link transmission technology.

The large screen version of the Honor MagicBook Pro may join the Intel camp. We guess it will be equipped with the Whiskey Lake low-voltage processor and an NVIDIA entry-level MX250 discrete graphics. The 16.1-inch screen is still relatively rare in the market. So the possibility of a nominal NTSC color gamut coverage of 72% is very large. And it will become another powerful competitor of Xiaomi Notebook Pro.
