OPPO K3 arrives in India, priced as low as Realme X

Last year, OPPO had rasied many eyebrows when it debuted the K series in India with the OPPO K1. The handset was the most affordable phone with an in-screen fingerprint reader at the time of its launch in India. It was also just an online-only series and priced aggressively as never seen before from OPPO. Well, the Realme parent has now returned with its successor, the OPPO K3 today, and this time it has more than just an on-screen fingerprint reader to entice users.

The OPPO K3 spec-sheet is already well known but what will intrigue users more is the price. It costs Rs 16,990 (approx USD 246) for the base variant that offers 6GB RAM and 64GB storage and Rs 19,990  for the larger 8GB+128GB varaint. To put it into perspective, the China price for the base variant was CNY 1599 (Rs 16,000 approx) . The OPPO K3 comes in Nebula Purple, Morning White, and Secret Black and will be exclusively sold on Amazon India starting 12pm on July 23rd. As part of a launch offer, there will be a further Rs 1,000 discount on purchases made using Axis Bank debit and credit cards as well as EMI purchases on Axis Bank credit card.

The OPPO K3 looks like a close relative of the Realme X on paper. It has a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution enabled by a pop-up 16MP camera. It also has the same Snapdragon 710 SoC present on the Realme X and boasts a 3,765 battery with VOOC 3.0 flash charge.
