Honor’s new product launch conference is still ON. But the company has already announced a few much-anticipated products. Of course, the Honor 9X series was in the spotlight. It’s officially uncovered. And though we have heard much about its features, now we can take a look at the final specs list.
Honor 9X Specs
First, our protagonist is a genuine full-screen smartphone, which brings an outstanding viewing experience. It passed the TÜV Rheinland low-light eye protection certification. To reach such a high screen ratio, the phone uses the pop-up camera design. Also, this handset has smart drop protection. When it is in a falling state, the front camera will automatically retract.
On the back, the Honor 9X line handsets use the X-shaped diamond texture design. It is available in charm sea blue, charm flame red, phantom purple, and magic night black. Though the phone uses a side fingerprint module, which also serves as the power button, the company claims it is way faster and more accurate than the screen fingerprint solution.
Under the hood, the Honor 9X sports Huawei’s second 7nm chip, the Kirin 810. At the stage, the spokesperson demonstrated how the Honor 9X outruns its rivals packed with the Snapdragon 855 and Snapdragon 710. By the way, this is the only chip in the world that can surpass the Snapdragon 855. Honor has reached a cooperation with the Volunteer Computing Project of the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. So they are calling on users to contribute to the idle computing power of smartphones and computers. Also, they invite all interested persons to participate in cutting-edge research projects and to jointly contribute to popular science.
As we have heard before, the phone supports Ark compiler as well as EROFS Super File System. As for the memory, this phone is packed with the 8GB of RAM + 256GB UFS 2.1 flash storage. The battery has a capacity of 4000mAh.
In terms of photography, the Honor 9X sports a dual-camera with a 48MP main sensor and a 2MP sub-sensor. At the same time, the Honor 9X Pro is packed with a triple-camera of 48MP + 8MP super-wide-angle lens + 2MP CMOS. Besides the number of outstanding camera options, this handset comes with an owl algorithm that is comparable to night vision. The Pro version has a sensitivity of 102,400, and shooting in a dark environment is better than competing products. Also, the Honor 9X series supports AIS Handheld Super Night View 2.0, which automatically recognizes a tripod and has a maximum exposure of 30 seconds. The stabilization works for recording videos as well. Honor calls it an AI video stabilization. The pop-up camera hosts a 16MP selfie shooter, which supports AI beauty.
The Honor 9X will have no problems when running large apps or games due to the Kirin 810 chip. But it also means the handset should support a good heat dissipation. Particularly, the Honor 9X Pro is equipped with THE NINE liquid cooling and better temperature control.
The Honor 9X series supports AI smart communication 2.0: Link Turbo, AI smart dual card Internet access, AI smart antenna, dual 4G dual VoLTE dual-pass, AI 4G signal fast recovery, and AI intelligent base station selection.
