iQOO Pro 5G smartphone could sell for 4498 yuan ($639)


As of now, there are only a hand-full of 5G smartphone in the market and they are all expensive. However, it appears that we will soon have the first 5G smartphone with a regular 4G flagship price tag. According to a recently exposed offline pre-sale information, the iQOO Pro 5G smartphone will sell for 4498 yuan ($639). This is much cheaper than the >$800 price tag of many of its counterparts. Although the authenticity of the price is not confirmed, Shenzhen Telecom said that iQOO Pro will be the cheapest 5G phone in the market.

iQOO Pro 5G adopts a waterdrop screen and uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC. The battery capacity is 4500 mAh which supports 44W ultra-fast flash charge. Furthermore, iQOO Pro 5G comes with a new generation of Monster compiler enhancement technology. According to iQOO, this tech can increase its boot speed by over 19% and the app switching speed can also increase by 13%.

Feng Yufei, vice president of iQOO brand, said that iQOO is ready to fully embrace 5G and never stop the pace of innovation. “We will build a more complete system with the ultimate products and excellent service to better serve our consumers”.
