Users who are interested in having a taste of Xiaomi’s latest MIUI software can now do so before the stable version is released at a later point. Of course, if you’re feeling adventurous enough to try an unfinished product, have in mind that some bugs may pop out during your usage. There are two specific methods to install the MIUI 11 update in eligible devices.

  • OTA (over the air) update to latest MIUI 11 if you are running a development version of MIUI 10.
  • If you are running on a stable version of MIUI 10 build, you will have to clear your data and manually install the package. We recommend to backup all your data before proceeding.

While Xiaomi is yet to announce the official release of MIUI 11, speculations point out to a mid-October release. Take in mind that these dates are valid for China, Global customers will probably have to wait a little longer.
