After the “early-launch-fiasco” the redesigned Galaxy Fold is finally making way to India. The handset retails for a whopping INR164,999 ($2,320/€2,130) and can be pre-ordered starting October 4. Early adopters will start to receive their respective units of the foldable handset starting from October 20.
If you live in India, you can pre-order the premium foldable smartphone through Samsung’s website. Samsung will also make it available via Samsung Shop, and Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru. In addition, the handset will be available via select retail outlets in 35 cities across the country.
Customers paying the $2,320 asked price will get 24×7 technical support from Samsung along with a one-year Infinity Flex Display Protection. This will include accidental damage protection and a one-time free screen replacement. Not enough to justify the price? The Galaxy Fold will also come bundled with an Aramid Fiber case and Galaxy Buds.
Samsung’s foldable smartphone brings two AMOLED screens – a 7.3-inch foldable display and a 4.6-inch cover display. Under the hood, it is powered by the excellent Snapdragon 855 SoC hooked with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of Storage. This premium package of smartphones comes in in Cosmos Black color, draws power from a 4,380 mAh battery, and sports a total of six cameras.
