ZTE ZM9000 5G module supports both NSA and SA networks

The development of 5G technology cuts across several manufacturers globally. ZTE is one of the Chinese front runners in the development of 5G. As of now, most 5G solutions support NSA networking only. This simply means that some existing 4G equipment can work with the network. However, this is not considered “true” 5G. Huawei’s 5G solution supports SA and NSA networking just as the recent Qualcomm SDX55 platform. According to ZTE Research Institute in Xi’an, ZTE ZM9000 5G module supports 5G NSA/SA network.

According to reports, ZTE ZM9000 5G module is based on Qualcomm SDX55 (Zhenlong X55 5G modem) platform. It covers the 4G/5G frequency band of the three major Chinese operators. ZM9000 adopts M.2 packaging technology. It comes with a standard size (30 x 52 x 3.6mm) and can be adapted to include security cameras, 5G 8K TV, HD conference terminals and other multi-industry products.

In addition to 5G modules, ZTE will also launch a series of 5G terminal products including smartphones, outdoor routers, 5G indoor routers, mobile hotspots, and data terminals. At the same time, in the construction of the 5G ecological chain, ZTE has cooperated with more than 20 operators around the world.
