After all the issues, the Galaxy Fold is finally available in the market. Since the smartphone already is available for a wide amount of users, Samsung is seeding the first software update that introduces some of the Galaxy Note 10’s camera features to the foldable smartphone. It’s interesting to see Samsung deploying powerful camera enhancements to the foldable smartphone. While the foldable display probably steals all the show, the Galaxy Fold still comes with a more than capable camera sensor.
The update is currently rolling out it France and the UAE. It bears the F900FXXU1ASJ4 serial number and weighs in at 670MB. Besides the camera adjustments, the update also brings the latest October Security patch.
The major upgrades for the camera department are the inclusion of a Night Mode for selfies, Live focus video and super steady video in Hyperlapse mode. Furthermore, the update introduces a new Video Editor for the owners of Galaxy Fold. Last but not least, there is a whole new AR doodle. The update is reaching a limited amount of users, but Samsung should expand its availability in the upcoming weeks.
The Galaxy Fold is one of the company’s smartphones that are set to receive Android 10-based One UI 2.0. But it will probably take more time, due to the specific adjustments required for the foldable display.
