Google is constantly improving the workability of its Messages App. This app dark theme already syncs with Android 10. However, the latest update lets users to set reminders for chats. There are times when you receive messages that need a response but not immediately. Due to your busy schedule, you usually forget these messages – well, not anymore. You can now simply hold on the message and set a separate task or reminder for the message.

The reminder icon appears at the right of the action title bar. Users can set the reminder time as they deem fit. In addition, there is an icon at the right of the message after the setting the reminder. You can deactivate the reminder by opening the conversation.
When the set reminder time arrives, the user will get an alert with the last message received in the conversation. Even at this stage, users can still snooze the reminder for another hour. This feature will come with Messages 5.2 which is currently slowly rolling out on the Play Store. What do you think about this new feature? Is it a meaningful addition to Google’s Messages?
