Chinese mobile operator – China Mobile – just released the “2019 Smart Hardware Quality Report”. In the report, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro series received a good number of first places along with some 5-stars ratings. In other words, the Mate 30 series just crushed the competition.

In particular, Huawei’s Mate 30 Pro 5G won the award as the best overall 5G mobile phone on the market. The Huawei Mate 30 series won the best overall 3G and 4G mobile phone award. The Mate 30 Pro also got a five-star evaluation for video quality and a five-star evaluation for the camera department in general. Finally, the device also earned 5 stars for its gaming capabilities.

China Mobile attributes the success of the Mate 30 series to its Huawei Kirin 990 SoC. The latest chipset does indeed appear to bring a superior 5G experience compared to the competition. Along with a better antenna configuration for a stable a fast connection, lower power consumption and good heat dissipation.

Gaming wise, the Mate 30 Pro 5G managed to do better than the Nubia Red Magic 3S; a dedicated gaming phone. It also did better than the iPhone 11 Pro Max, Oppo Reno Ace and many more.

Finally, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro scored a five-star rating for smartphones over 3,000 yuan ($430 or 390€). Same goes for the best video shooting capabilities in the price segment.

It’d appear as the Huawei Mate 30 Pro is unequivocally the best smartphone currently on sale in China. Or at least that’s what the judges at the China Mobile Conference believe.
