Samsung Galaxy Fold update brings support to DeX on PC feature

Samsung’s first and glorious foldable smartphone, Galaxy Fold, is receiving a new software update today that enables DeX on PC. DeX actually is Samsung’s solution to connect the phone to your Windows or Mac computer via a USB cable and use the computer’s monitor, keyboard and mouse. It is natural to see such a feature arriving for the Galaxy Fold. After all, the whole concept behind this foldable smartphone is having a seamless expandable experience. It is a smartphone, that can be converted in a Tablet, and now users can also turn it into an operating Desktop! With the new software update, you’ll be able to edit Office documents using a full-size keyboard. Moreover, you can play games with the extra accuracy of a computer mouse. Worth noting that Fold already came with DeX mode support. However, in this mode, you need to have a separate monitor to connect the smartphone. The new DeX on PC is more convenient. It just requires you to download the app, plug the handset into your computer and you’re good to go.

The new firmware update bears F900FXXU2ASKB version number and weighs in at 900MB. The Galaxy Fold 5G should receive the same treatment in the coming days.
