At the launch conference of ColorOS 7 last week, Oppo announced that it will release the Reno 3 series in December. According to reports, the Oppo Reno 3 series will support 5G dual-mode. Now, we have a screenshot which proves that this is indeed true. According to the latest exposure of the Reno 3 series, the SIM card settings show 5G in the network options. Users can manually enable the 5G option. In addition, the system also provides smart 5G options, that is, intelligent switching between 5G and 4G networks.
According to Shen Yiren, the vice president of OPPO, the Reno 3 series will use Qualcomm’s first dual-mode 5G chip. He believes that 5G technology has established an IoT bridge to connect more emerging mobile terminals. As one of the earliest 5G phone maker, Oppo hopes to give users an imaginative smartphone future.
During the Guangzhou “Tianyi Intelligent Ecological Expo” in September this year, Wu Qiang, head of OPPO sales, said in an interview that “we plan to have all products above 3,000 yuan next year to be 5G products.”
Wu Qiang pointed out that from the perspective of scale, OPPO expects that the overall adoption of 5G next year to be about 20%, and Canalys (analytical agency) also predicts this.
