The drives have a backup function that can work in two modes (with one or two drives at the same time) and is available when both slots are filled. In terms of connectivity, the device boasts one USB-A 3.0 port, one HDMI 1.4 port, and a 2.5GbE Ethernet port for local area networks. Smart home
Xiaomi's Intelligent Storage isn't just a storage device it also works as a smart home hub. This lets Xiaomi say it makes the connection between all your smart devices at home up to 3 times faster than before. On top of fitting into the wider world of Xiaomi products, it also stores video from up to 4 cameras for up to 360 days, and can back up WeChat or your entire device. But there's a catch: those last two features only work if you upgrade to HyperOS 3.0. And since it supports 16 user accounts, the Xiaomi Intelligent Storage isn't just a device for one person, it's built to be used by a whole family.
Conclusion
Xiaomi has entered the home NAS market for the first time and is preparing to compete against more other companies in this industry. Wich means, the ability to work with the Xiaomi ecosystem seems to be the standout feature of the product, which is different from competitors, while hardware specifications are average for this type of devices.
