Realme Might Launch its First Fitness Band in the First Half of 2020

A couple of days ago, Realme India CEO Madhav Seth officially announced that the company will diversify to IoT products next year. The smartphone maker already has numerous phones and accessories under its portfolio. In fact, the company recently launched its truly wireless earbuds dubbed Realme Buds Air. It seems like the company is now working on its first-ever fitness band. The company has already confirmed the same on numerous occasions.

Realme to Launch More Comprehensive IoT Products Next Year

In the latest episode of AskMadhav, Seth revealed the tentative timeline for the company’s upcoming fitness tracker wearable. As per the episode, we might see the company launching its first-ever fitness band in the first half of 2020. For those who’re unaware, the AskMadhav is a monthly series in which Realme India CEO answers to the most popular question asked by the fans itself. If the company ends up launching the tracker, it will face immense competition from other leaders. Realme’s fitness band will directly compete with the likes of Mi Bands and Honor Bands. It is worth mentioning that the fitness trackers are getting more crowded with more smartphone makers now focussing on it.

Furthermore, Seth also talked about the VOOC-enabled power bank revealing that it is, indeed, in the company’s future roadmap. Although he didn’t reveal any timeline for the same. In the episode, he also talked about the Android 10 update on older Realme devices along with a promise for a more comprehensive portfolio of IoT products next year. Well, it would be interesting to see how well the Realme fitness band will perform in the market. Furthermore, we might see some new exciting products from the company next year. With new products in the portfolio, Realme is slowly getting more competitive with its rival brand Xiaomi.
