Motorola guarantees that the Razr 2019 can fold for several years!

Motorola RAZR Pre-Orders Kick Off on January 26th

The Motorola Razr 2019 was one of the most talked-about smartphones over the past few months. That’s because of being the first foldable smartphone to arrive with a “clamshell” format.

However, after the great hype generated around its arrival on the market, it ended up being involved in a great controversy after a stress test by CNET showed frightening results!

During the test, the Motorola Razr 2019 managed to survive just over 27 thousand folds, ending its mechanism almost unusable. The reactions to this test were so negative that the manufacturer was forced to comment immediately.

Motorola Razr: Motorola claims that the CNET test was not at all adequate!

First, Motorola stated that the machine used by CNET to perform the stress test is not suitable for use with the Razr 2019.

The arguments used seem to be really valid. Since the “FoldBot” can hardly reproduce folds that represent its daily use by a person.

In addition, FoldBot has never completely closed Motorola Razr 2019. And the brand says that the fact that they do not let the smartphone open and close as “it is supposed” ends up putting too much pressure on the mechanism.

Tests performed by Motorola represent more realistically daily use

The FoldBot used by CNET is really very aggressive in the way it opens and closes the smartphone. In addition, it makes sense that the fact of not completing the movement ends up causing unwanted pressure on the entire mechanism.

Revealing to its users one of several tests, Motorola published a video showing one of its resistance testing machines.

As we can see in the video, this machine allows the smartphone to be closed and opened completely. In addition, the whole movement is done in a much smoother and more natural way.

Although users can sometimes open/close Motorola Razr 2019 a little more aggressively, they are guaranteed not to have a “rage” whenever they use their $1400 smartphone.
