In order to build its own ecosystem and get rid of its dependence on Google, Huawei is vigorously promoting the HMS mobile service framework globally. In fact, not only outside China, Huawei is also vigorously promoting HMS in China. Although it commenced its promotion with its high-end models, now it is bringing HMS to mid-range and entry-level devices.
Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3e, Enjoy 10, and Honor Play 8A gets an update with HMS
Huawei Pollen Club launched a new internal beta recruitment today. In the recruitment, Nova 3, Nova 3e, Enjoy 10, and Honor Play 8A is getting an EMUI 9.1 update. After the upgrade, users can fell a better sense of Huawei mobile service (HMS 4.0). It comes with Huawei’s various cloud applications and payment experience.
In mid-January this year, Huawei officially released HMS Core 4.0. This system comes with a large number of new features, including AI services, context-awareness services, unified code scanning services, short-range communication services, panoramic services, security detection services, fast authentication service, location service, digital rights service, sports health service, user identity service, etc.
Although these four models are not getting EMUI 10, they will still be able to experience HMS. These smartphones will continue to receive minor upgrades and security patches in the future.
However, it should be noted that after upgrading the experience version, you need to download and update Huawei Mobile Services from the Huawei App Market. At the end of the internal testing, you cannot roll back to the old version. You will directly get the official stable version of the update.
In addition, since this internal test involves 4 different products, engineers are working on version adaptation and optimization. This means that the update progress of different products will be different.
