Huawei is bringing its Search app to replace Google’s search engine

Huawei chinese

Although Google itself complains to the U.S. government, Huawei continues to be unable to use Mountain View services. For some months, Huawei and Honor smartphones have no longer integrated the Google ecosystem, between apps and services. At this point the company is forced to replace these elements gradually, starting from the AppGallery instead of the Play Store. The road to the podium of the app platforms is still long, but the results are already starting to show. More and more apps are being added, starting from the main social networks.

Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) aims to provide complete mobile experience to Huawei and Honor device users. With official services such as Mobile Cloud, AppGallery, Video, Themes, ScreenMagazine and etc. which comes along with EMUI operating system.

Gizchina News of the week

No Google? The search will be entrusted to the new Huawei Search app

The absence of Google entails a whole series of penalties: Squid in place of Google News, Huawei Assistant in place of Google Assistant, but also the impossibility of using Google Search. One of the basic elements is the famous Big G search engine, not only via browser but also with the dedicated app. In its place, Huawei Search will intervene shortly, the alternative designed to compensate for this absence.

As the first screenshots show, Huawei Search will be a new app that will become part of Huawei Mobile Services. Inside we can carry out quick searches, as well as having shortcuts for weather, sports results, unit conversion and calculator. The results obtained can also be filtered by categories such as videos, news and images, allowing a more widespread search.

As reported by HuaweiCentral, the app will soon be available on Huawei and Honor smartphones via AppGallery. Obviously all new models will have it pre-installed by default.

As much as I love my HUAWEI MATE 10 PRO, will this be my last Huawei handset.
Hope Xiaomi come to SA and that Trump spare them all the way.
Trump is bad luck. He is is literally in every household and he is costing us money.
If I must buy a Samsung it will cost me roughly a 1/3 more than the Huawei.

Apple can’t stand the opposition, they are worried about losing a few billon dollars,if they haven’t already done so! Trump will think up a way to change things in their favour. (free competition not withstanding)
