OnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8 Lite will be presented in April

OnePlus would unveil its new range of smartphones in April. The manufacturer would therefore be ahead of its classic calendar. We are talking about the trio OnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8 Lite.

When we saw the leaks on the OnePlus 8 started in October 2019, even before the presentation of the OnePlus 7T, we must admit that we suspected that the brand had taken a step ahead of its schedule.

Thanks to the sources of the TechRadar India site, we know a little more about the brand’s calendar in 2020. It is not surprising that the Indian press gets echoes of the plans from OnePlus. The Chinese brand is indeed number one in the premium smartphone segment in India. So, it is therefore a key market for the smartphone manufacturer.

Historically, the first wave of OnePlus smartphones was unveiled in early summer, several months after the MWC. This allows the brand to get a better price on the components, especially on the Snapdragon 800 chips from Qualcomm. In addition, this way, they do not compete head-on with big brands like Samsung on launch time.

In recent years, OnePlus has increasingly advanced the date of presentation of its smartphones, until May in 2019 for the OnePlus 7.

According to the TechRadar India site, the presentation date of the OnePlus 8 range would be in the second week of April, between 6 and 12. Therefore, the brand would further advance its smartphone presentation by one month compared to 2019. Already in February, the leaker Ishan Agarwal had predicted a launch in late March or early April.

This year is also special because OnePlus will no longer reveal two smartphones, but three. According to the leaks, the brand would indeed prepare the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro, but also the OnePlus 8 Lite.

Of course, it is difficult to know if OnePlus will be able to organize a large conference to unveil its new products. The Coronavirus epidemic pushes brands one by one to cancel or postpone their events.
