One UI 2.1 brings new camera features to Galaxy S10+

One UI 2.1

Samsung’s crème de la crème handsets the Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip are the only ones to ship with One UI 2.1 out of the box. However, as the company had promised, the update has now made its way to former flagships, the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy Note 10. With the update, some features exclusive to the S20 series will now also be available to the Galaxy S10 Plus and the Galaxy Note 10.

To be specific, the update is rolling out to the Galaxy S10+ in Germany and brings along with it Single Mode, Night Hyperlapse, Custom Filter, Pro Video, an advanced Night Mode, and 4K/60fps video on the front camera.

Single Take is Samsung’s AI burst shot that takes several photos in 10 seconds and chooses the best of it. Custom Filter lets you create your own filter with colours and styles you like from a favourite photo. Night Hyperlpase is pretty self-explanatory while the Pro mode is for advanced shooters. It will give users deeper control on settings like  ISO, shutter speed, and exposure. Also, the front camera can now capture 4K/60fps.

Apart from these awesome new camera features, new gallery features such as Quick Crop and Clean View have also been added. Samsung’s own version of AirDrop called Quick Share also arrives and makes it easy to send content like photos, videos, or even large files to multiple contacts. We expect the update to appear across other regions as well. Do let us know if you’ve already got it.
