LG new phone series has a special design – “raindrop” camera and curved display

A few days ago, a report from XDAdevelopers claims that a new premium series from LG will arrive on May 15. This series will come with a Snapdragon 7 series processor and will support 5G as well as Dual Screen accessories. Now, the latest report shows the design of this new series. From the images, this upcoming series will have at least two different design elements. The first is the “3D curved design”, which has two curved edges like most curved screen phones on the market. The rear of the smartphone also has the same symmetrical design.

The other part is the rear camera, which uses a “raindrop” camera design. Well, we have heard of all sorts of designs on smartphones. The “waterdrop” design explains a small allowance for the front camera only on the display. Now, there is “raindrop” which explains the geometry of the rear camera array. In the raindrop design, there must be a camera array consisting of three or more cameras. These sensors must be arranged vertically and they are not also the same size. The sensor on top is largest while the other sensors below are smaller.

However, if an OEM decides to make the sensors reduce in size as you move from top to bottom, its still a raindrop design. In fact, that is the ideal “raindrop” design. Rain droplets are larger at the source (top) and break into smaller droplets as they fall down. In LG’s new “raindrop” design, the flash still forms a part of the “raindrop” camera array. It will probably be the very last sensor (at the bottom).

While there are reports that LG will launch a new series on May 15, others believe that it will be the G series. As for the design in the image, it will be nice to see this but there is no official confirmation to this design.
