Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 Appeared On GeekBench, Sporting Snapdragon 865+

Last time when we got news about the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 was when the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G was released. It was in 2019. That time, many have been thinking the second 5G smartphone of the company would be the MiX4. However, after the announcement of this handset, there have been no more news and rumors concerning this handset. Accidentally, today, the phone appeared on Geekbench 5.1.1 website.

According to the GeekBench screenshot, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 scores 922 points in the single-core test. The multi-core score is 3320 points. The picture shows that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 sports the Snapdragon 865+ mobile platform. It has a main frequency of 2.96GHz.

However, whether the Mi MIX 4 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform should be verified. A few days ago, the head of marketing of Meizu Technology revealed there is no Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform this year. One of the bloggers also added that ‘The Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform has always been an engineering solution. And some manufacturers have done overclocking tests. But it is really doubtful we will see it in real.’

According to information from all parties, if Qualcomm will launch the Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform this year, then the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 should use this chip. If this chip is not available this year and the company actively works on the Snapdragon 875, then the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 875 chip. Seems the latter is a more possible scenario. So the release time of Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 may be the fourth quarter of this year.
