Today, Chinese manufacturer, Redmi, announced that the Redmi K30 5G (6GB + 128GB) will sell for 1999 yuan ($283). The initial price of this smartphone is 2299 yuan ($325). This means that this smartphone got a 300 yuan ($42) price cut. Redmi has a couple of smartphones that will hit the market soon. The Redmi K30i is on its way while another Redmi 5G phone with Redmi K30 5G specs (but uses a 48MP main camera) recently appeared on MIIT. It is possible that this price cut is paving way for the arrival of these smartphones.
Redmi K30 5G is Redmi’s first 5G phone and the first dual-mode 5G smartphone from Xiaomi. It is also the first 5G phone to sell for less than $300. This device supports SA and NSA dual-mode 5G.
