Meizu is gearing to unveil its 2020’s set of flagship smartphones boasting 5G connectivity. We’re expecting at least three devices – Meizu 17, Meizu 17 Pro, and Meizu 17T. Thanks to a myriad of teasers, we already know a lot about these new flagship devices. Now, a popular Chinese retailer updated its product page for the Meizu 17 with pricing information. Just one day before the official launch.
According to JD.com, the Meizu 17 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage will cost CNY 4,000 ($565/€525). There is also an 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage variant. However, the price for that variant seems to be just a place holder. For now, the company is allowing customers to pre-book this handset for CNY100.
Unfortunately, there are still no details regarding the price of the 17 Pro and the 17T Model. However, we can expect the former to be more expensive than the vanilla variant. It sports a Ceramic Build and gets 12GB of RAM in the high-end model.
Meizu 17 specifications
The new handset will boast a Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. This panel has a top-right punch hole for a single selfie snapper. On the back, there is a horizontally-aligned Quad-Camera setup comprising a 64MP shooter. The handset draws power from a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast-charging. It runs Android 10-based Flyme 8.1 and comes with a new haptic engine dubbed mEngine 3.0. It will be powered by the almighty Snapdragon 865 SoC.
All the devices in the 17 series will be revealed tomorrow in China. So stay tuned for more details.
