Xiaomi official shared images of the Redmi K30 Pro transparent custom edition

Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi, has been releasing Explorer Edition (transparent) of its digital flagships. The 2018 Xiaomi Mi 8 and its successor, Xiaomi Mi 9, got transparent editions. However, the company has since announced that the Xiaomi Mi 10 will not have an Explorer Edition. Nevertheless, we saw some real images of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Explorer Edition in March. Yesterday, a Xiaomi official shared some images of the Redmi K30 Pro “Explorer Edition” with a transparent rear.

According to Xiaomi’s Senior Product Marketing Manager and global spokesperson, Daniel D, the transparent Redmi K30 Pro is a custom edition. Thus, it is probably not for the public domain. In this transparent edition, just like that of Xiaomi Mi 10, you can actually see the complete internals of this phone. This suggests that Xiaomi simply replaced the original back cover with a transparent glass panel. In the case of the Mi 8 and Mi 9 Exploration Editions, you do not see the full internals. There is some sort of covering which conceals some details.

On the bottom rear, we have the Redmi logo which does not hinder the view of the internals. Just like we said earlier, this device will probably never hit the market. This is the first-ever Redmi phone to showcase a transparent rear.
