Sony and Microsoft are in a “fight” to the finish line. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will officially launch later this year. However, the enthusiasm towards these consoles is high. Microsoft has since announced Xbox Series X backward compatibility with older consoles like the Xbox One. Many people expected that Sony would also follow up with this strategy. However, Jim Ryan, president and CEO of SIE, said in an interview that the company will provide fans with a “Sony PS5 exclusive experience.”

Gizchina News of the week

Jim Ryan said: “Whenever you talk about the” next generation “console, you will always include the features and other advantages that the previous generation does not have, and our company believes that everyone should develop games that can make full use of its performance. Whether it’s DualSense controllers, 3D Audio sound effects, or fast SSDs … We think it ’s time to provide the PlayStation community with something new, different, and actually only available on PS5”.

The current status quo is that if you are an old PS4 user, please do not have too high expectations that the PS5 monopoly can be transferred to the old platform. In fact, Sony is hoping that many of its fans will upgrade to the latest hardware. It is reported that there are currently more than 100 million PS4 users. In the first few years of PS5 sales, there maybe 15 to 25 million users transitioning to PS5.

Sony PS5 price speculation

As for the price of the PlayStation 5, we still do not have any official information on that. However, Jim Ryan, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) President and CEO recently said that PS5 pricing will reflect the best value of the console. However, this does not been that it will be “cheap” but it means it will offer good value for money. The depth, design, quality, price, and platform of the game collection will be worth the money. Simply put, the PS5 may not be cheap, but it will definitely be worth the money.
