Earlier this year, Huami announced its affordable smartwatch dubbed Amazfit Bip S along with Amazfit T-Rex at CES 2020. Last month, the Chinese company announced that the wearable will arrive in the Indian market on June 3. Well, as promised, we now have the much-awaited Amazfit Bip S, and here is everything you need to know about it.
Amazfit Bip S Affordable Smartwatch: Price in India, Availability
The all-new Amazfit Bip S comes in four different color options namely Red Orange, Warm Pink, White Rock, and Carbon Black. It will set you back around INR 4,999 i.e. roughly $65. In terms of availability, the smartwatch will be up for grabs via major e-commerce platforms namely Amazon India, Flipkart, Myntra, and of course, Amazfit’s official online store. You can also get it from offline retailers as well which includes Croma, Reliance Digital, and Poorvika Mobiles.

Talking about the specs, the Amazfit Bip S comes with a 1.28-inch transflective Always-On color touch display. The display has a resolution of 176 x 176 pixels with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It comes with two watch faces that you can edit along with over 40 watch faces available for download via the store.
The smartwatch runs on Amazfit OS in terms of software while the companion app is compatible with both Android and iOS. For connectivity, the wearable will make use of the latest Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE support. Coming to the sensors, we’re looking at 2-axis geomagnetic, a 3-axis acceleration, and a BioTracker Optical sensor. Considering the price tag, these sensors are more than enough to track your fitness activities.
We’re talking about fitness activities such as 10 sports modes, swim tracking along with Huami-PAI Health Assessment System. A score of over 100 points will indicate that you have a healthy lifestyle. All of these are backed by a 200 mAh battery packed inside. It can deliver a battery life of 40 days on a single charge. It is worth noting that these figures are for the base usage scenario. In the case of a typical usage scenario, the watch will last you around 15 days.
Just like most smartwatches out there, Amazfit Blip S will showcase your app, call, and message notifications. It can also track your sleep activities along with music control and weather forecast. Lastly, we’re looking at built-in GPS, heart rate monitoring, and water-resistant up to 5 ATM.
