Huawei P40 Pro gets EMUI 10.1.0.140 update – adds amazing features

Huawei P40 Pro

Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, is currently fighting for its life in the smartphone market. Well, it’s supposed to be fighting for its life but we can safely say it is cruising to the top. This statement is true considering recent reports which claim that Huawei recently surpassed Samsung to become the number one smartphone brand in the world. During the initial stages of the U.S. ban, we all thought that Huawei’s smartphone business, including update release, will slow down. However, we were so wrong. The company is still releasing new smartphones as well as updates. Now, the latest update is for the Huawei P40 Pro which was released only a few months ago.

According to users’ feedback, the Huawei P40 Pro started receiving the EMUI 10.1.0.140 system update today. This update basically optimizes the self-timer function, adds eye-tracking and new portrait super night scene 3.0. It also improves the video capture capability.

Huawei’s new eye-tracking feature intelligently and quickly perform eye-tracking when shooting. This makes clear selfies at a distance and better videos. Furthermore, the new Portrait Super Night Scene 3.0 will make the night selfie details more refined and the skin tone more natural. These features were actually first launched with the Huawei nova 7 back in April. For those who have forgotten, here is a quick reminder of the launch details of the Huawei P40 Pro
