Sony has unveiled its premium wireless earbuds the WF-1000XM3 in India. For the price of ₹19,990 ($266), the Truly Wireless Earphones come with touch controls, bigger battery, and a dedicated Noise-cancelling processor with ANC.

The Sony WF-1000XM3 is quite old elsewhere as it launched globally in 2019. Coming in Black and Silver colour options, the earbuds have a design which is slightly different from the market trend with a wide earpiece but has the usual in-ear design for the earcups.

On the audio side of things, there are 6mm driver units in each bud and they have a frequency response of 20Hz to 20KHz. Sony says the earbuds also come with a dedicated QN1e HD Noise cancelling processor and aid the Active Noise Cancellation(ANC) the earbuds offer.

Connectivity-wise, it comes with the latest Bluetooth 5.0 and supports SBC and AAC. Users can also tweak the audio settings with an equalizer via Sony’s app. There are touch controls on both the earbuds and the capacitive area is wider than any other buds available in the market.

It also has features like ambient sound mode, quick attention mode and the Dual Noise sensor technology. Sony says the ANC can also be toggled on and off to be aware of what’s happening around by allowing sound to pass through the earbuds.

The WF-1000XM3’s teaser page on Amazon promises a total battery life of 32 hours with the case and without ANC and 24 hours with ANC turned ON. The earbuds, on the other hand, give six hours and eight hours battery life with ANC turned ON and OFF respectively on a single charge.
