In 2020, we can pretty much say that TWS earbuds are finally catching the customer interest. The answer to the recent surge in demand is simple – The offer is wide now with more and more companies joining this trend. Xiaomi is pretty aware of this demand and wants to keep pushing its truly wireless earbuds lineup in a bid to attract more costumers over its products. A few days ago, reports emerged on the Wireless Power Consortium revealing a new pair of TWS earbuds from Xiaomi dubbed Mi True Wireless Earphone 2 Pro. Now, the earphones have been certified by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG).

The Bluetooth SIG website has just published the certificate of the earbuds. It confirms that the new true wireless devices will indeed launch as the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Pro. The new hearables will carry the TWSEJ09WM model number, which also matches the one on the site of the Wireless Power Consortium. The only new information is that the Bluetooth SIG listing confirms the availability of Bluetooth 5.0 standard. Apart from the connectivity standard, the new certifications hint an imminent release. As the device has passed two important certifications, Xiaomi should be almost ready to unveil it for the public.

Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Pro – ANC, Touch Controls and Closed-ear design

According to reports, the new True Wireless Earphones will come with support for Wireless Charge and Active Noise Cancellation. For starters, ANC is one of the highly-requested features in 2020. So the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Pro certainly come to attract costumers who are in the market for good TWS earphones with ANC. Apart from that, rumors also revealed that the hearables will come in a single black colorway. It will also feature a closed-ear design with silicone tips to keep the sound in. Moreover, an infrared sensor will be present on each earbud for wear detection and the smooth surface of the outer part of the earbuds point at support for touch controls. These controls should support basic functionalities like play/pause, playlist control, and calling the Voice Assistant.

Worth noting, that Xiaomi also has another pair of wireless earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation coming soon. The official name is Mi Active Noise Cancelling Earphones. Yeah, we know that this doesn’t seem like a good marketing name. However, it has a model number LYXQeJ05WM. Other features of the earbuds include Bluetooth 5.0, IPX4 waterproof rating, and support for SBC and AAC audio codecs.
