Vivo V20 SE official promo poster emerges, launch is imminent

Vivo V20 SE

Vivo is gearing up to reveal a brand new smartphone dubbed Vivo V20 SE. According to recent rumors and leaks, the company will unveil the SE model alongside a Pro variant. Today, the SE leaves the “rumor” scene to become something that is officially coming. A new promo poster emerged suggesting that the new handset is just around the corner. The new device will likely come as the most affordable variant of the V20 family.

Unfortunately, while some companies are starting to push super affordable 5G handsets, the Vivo V20 SE only is an LTE smartphone. We still don’t have many details about it, but according to a recently spotted Geekbench listing, the device is just a mid-range phone. The Vivo V20 SE passed through the GeekBench benchmark with the vivo V2022 model number. Under the hood, it carries the Snapdragon 665 chipset that is coupled with 8GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 665 is the modernized version of Snapdragon 660 offering eight Cortex-A53 cores. The amount of RAM is quite generous for this setup, but will probably push the price slightly above other phones in this segment. The handset scored 316 points in the single-core tests and 1,377 points in the multi-core department. Another detail revealed by GeekBench is that the presence of Android 10-based FunTouch OS 10. This would be great a few months ago, but now that Android 11 has been released, the device already comes outdated.

Just recently, the device also acquired China Quality Certification and the listing revealed 33W fast-charging. This amount of charging is now common among low-end smartphones, so definitively will make the device standard against the competition.

Vivo V20 had its display and cameras revealed

A couple of days ago, a render revealed the vanilla V20 display design and camera layout. Interestingly enough, the device will be quite similar to the recently released Vivo X50 Pro. The X50 Pro has a camera-centric approach and sports a powerful triple camera setup with a gimbal-like stabilization system. The Vivo 20 also packs a triple-camera setup but lacks the periscope module present on the X50 Pro.

Unfortunately, there still no information regarding the specifications of this camera setup. However, a leaked image suggests that the V20 series will feature dual-cameras at the front with a 44MP sensor. The secondary sensor probably is a ultra-wide module. The two cameras are fitted inside of a pill-shaped punch-hole.

The Vivo V20 series should be revealed later this month considering the number of leaks and certifications that are emerging.
