Galaxy S21 Ultra battery information leaked after camera specs!

Samsung Galaxy S21

Samsung still hasn’t been finished with its launch of flagship products and we’re already receiving Galaxy S21 Ultra leaks frequently. For those who’re unaware, the chaebol is now planning to launch the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition on September 23. Coming to the S21 Ultra, we are now looking at the early battery information of the device. This report is appearing from the good folks at GalaxyClub.

Galaxy S21 Ultra battery capacity leaked!

According to the emerging report, the next-gen Galaxy S21 Ultra will arrive with a battery touting the model number EB-BG998ABY. This model number has a rated capacity of 4,885mAh meaning we should see a large 5,000mAh battery capacity. We already know that the S21 Plus will feature a 4,660mAh battery. To recall, the S20 Plus features 4,370mAh cells meaning the next-gen will offer a 3% increase roughly.

Sadly, it looks like the same is not true for the Ultra variant. For those who’re unaware, the Galaxy S20 Ultra also comes with the same 5,000mAh battery capacity. The S21, on the other hand, will come with a 4,000mAh typical battery capacity (EB-BG991ABY). Earlier this week, we saw the camera specs of the Ultra variant leaked as well. If you missed that, then the Galaxy S21 Ultra will arrive with a quad-camera module on the back.

Gizchina News of the week

The setup will consist of a 108MP primary sensor paired with a 12MP ultrawide lens along with two telephoto lenses. We’re looking at a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom while the other one will support 5x optical zoom. For selfies and video calling, there is going to be a large 40MP front snapper as well. With this new camera configuration, Samsung might end up ditching the 3D ToF sensor.

Under the hood, the device will of course come with the then-latest flagship chipset namely Snapdragon 875 SoC. For the international market, Samsung will include its 5nm Exynos chipset which is currently under the development stage. The 5nm Exynos chipset is expected to offer a higher power efficiency. We should see more information on the chipset to also come forward as we will move closer to the launch.

Launch timeline and price

At the time of writing this, the pricing information remains scarce for the entire Galaxy S21 lineup. We do know that the series will contain three devices. Coming to the launch timeline, Samsung generally launches its Galaxy S flagship devices in February every year.
