The Chinese are massively buying Huawei devices despite the price rise

The White House imposed even tougher restrictions on Huawei in May this year. It forced chipmakers to stop shipping products made using American technology and equipment to the Chinese company from September 15th. From now on, it is deprived of the opportunity to produce its own proprietary Kirin chips. And, it can’t buy processors from other manufacturers.

The Chinese are massively buying Huawei devices despite the rise in prices

Against the background of what is happening in China, the price tags for Huawei smartphones have risen. Prices for selected models have already increased by 40% compared to January this year. For example, the cost of the already expensive Huawei Mate 30 RS Porsche Design increased by $443.7. On average, the cost of the company’s devices increased by $60-74. Wholesale consignments of devices are bought up in minutes. Electronics retailers have to rush as prices for Huawei devices are rising almost hourly.

The high demand for the company’s devices in China is dictated by the fact that many decided to have time to buy smartphones before they disappeared from sale. Consumers understand that Huawei will not have enough stock of processors for a long time. So in the future, they will not be able to purchase gadgets from this manufacturer. Because their release will be discontinued.

Analysts say that the company’s stock of components will be enough until the middle of next year. Naturally, much will depend on the pace of production Huawei will adhere to. Most likely, it will follow the path of reducing its own model range, and will also introduce restrictions on the number of gadgets produced.

Gizchina News of the week

I must say that Chinese users, driven by patriotic feelings, all the time since the imposition of sanctions in May 2019, have been actively supporting Huawei, actively purchasing its smartphones. It is on the patriotism of the Chinese that the company’s success in the mobile market this year is based. And we must pay tribute to them that now they have not turned away from Huawei, but continue to actively buy its smartphones.

Huawei Mate 40 may not arrive at global markets this year

Regarding the problems and the fate of Huawei, users are divided into two main camps: some believe that the company’s days in the smartphone market are numbered, others are confident that it will be able to cope with all the problems and will show the United States what it can do. In this situation, it remains for us to observe the development of events, as well as those new products that the company will release, including the upcoming Huawei Mate40 series.

One of the main premieres of Huawei and the industry as a whole in the second half of this year will be the release of the flagships of the Mate 40 series. Rumor has it that the announcement of the devices will take place no earlier than November this year. Huawei itself remains calm and urges its fans to wait a bit, promising that the premiere will take place as scheduled. But at the same time, it does not specify when it will happen.

Meanwhile, the reputable insider Evan Blass has announced that the Huawei Mate40 series will not be released this year. We’ll have to wait until 2021. However, he did not specify whether he was talking about the global market or the Chinese market. Maybe, the announcement of the new devices will take place in China this year. But they will enter the global market only next year.

Rumor has it that Huawei is soberly assessing the situation. And, it does not expect a large demand for the flagships Mate 40. This was the reason that it has reduced orders for components for these smartphones by 30-40%.

after nVidia bought arm, its gonna be american company. so when they sanction arm to be used in chinese equipments, china gonna go full risc-v and the rest of the world will go on arm. india and South East Asian will overtake china to produce the arm-based electronic equipment for the rest of the world and china will stay in their cocoon on risc-v just like the old times, separated from the rest of the world. and that is how communism and democracy has parted ways. what happened to china that make them seperate themselves from the rest of the world from the past 8 years? well.. Xi happened (mao's power combined with dictator for life and hatred toward west culture).
