Today, Huami Technology held the Beyond GT Amazfit 2020 autumn new product launch conference. Before the announcement of the new product, Huami Technology CEO Huang Wang announced Huami’s performance in the wearable market.

Huang Wang introduced that Huami Technology still achieved growth against the trend despite the epidemic. In the first half of the year, the shipments of the Xiaomi Mi Band manufactured by Huami Technology in China and the world were 5.49 million units and 13.4 million units, respectively. Thus, it has won double titles of the double No. 1 in the Chinese and global markets.

Huang Wang emphasized that Huami Technology focuses on the concept of ‘professionalism × long-termism’. Huami not only possesses industry-leading and proven product definition capabilities but also has an annual shipment volume of tens of millions of units. This is rare for a global intelligent hardware company in terms of supply chain management capabilities and quality control capabilities.

In addition, Huami firmly believes that this kind of long-term and continuous investment in research and development will have a longer and more long-term future. Huang Wang said, ‘This is far from an era in which short-term business can make money quickly and can continue to maintain core competitiveness. This is an era in which long-termism can be maintained.’

Xiaomi Mi Band 5

The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 sports a 1.1-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 126 x 294. This band uses a built-in high-precision six-axis sensor + PPG heart rate sensor. It also comes with 14 days of long battery life and supports magnetic charging.

The 11 professional exercise modes put the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 on the top cadre of smart bands. Also, the 24-hour heart rate sleep monitoring + female health (physical period, ovulation period recording, and reminder) is quite interesting. Furthermore, this band also supports stress monitoring, sedentary reminder, step recording, and PAI vitality index evaluation.

The PAI function is another health tracker on the Mi Band. A PAI value of below 100 shows that the user is at higher risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes. There are reports that the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 will get this feature via an update. Also, this device support SPO2 (Blood Oxygen Saturation) measurements. This means that the Band 5 greatly improves its health tracking function.
