Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro will offer more – launch date and specs sheet leaks

Xiaomi is one of the top companies in China which offers good value for money. While many users know Xiaomi as a smartphone company, it does more than phones. It has an extensive and rich ecological chain and it cooperates with many startups. Xiaomi has a rich collection of headphones and it will still add more to its collection. According to recent reports, the company will soon launch the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro noise-canceling headphones. Now, a new leak from a Weibo blogger @DSP-Charles reveals some of the configurations of this device. If this leak is anything to go by, the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro will offer more than we expect.

Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro

According to the leak, this earphone is a noise-canceling device that is comparable to the standard AirPods Pro. This device weighs about 6.5g which makes it very comfortable in terms of weight. It uses a hybrid feedforward and feedback digital noise reduction. Furthermore, the noise reduction strength is 35dB. This headset also comes with a 12mm dynamic coil unit and supports up to 7 hours of battery life.

However, it only supports up to 7 hours of battery life when the noise reduction feature is off. If this feature is on, the battery lasts for about 5 hours. In addition, this device will also support a wireless charging feature. In recent times, wireless charging is the new direction of development for electronic devices. It is currently reserved for flagship products and this is what the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro will be.

Also, this earphone comes with a voice wake-up as well as the “transparent mode” feature. The audio delay is 100ms and this device supports AAC and LHDC decoding. The Weibo post did not explain the “transparent mode” feature but whatever it is, we will know in a few weeks.

According to the leak, the Chinese manufacturer will release the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro noise-canceling headphones on October 13. Presently, Xiaomi’s Air series headsets include Air 2 SE and Air 2s. However, these devices do not support active noise reduction. As a result, we didn’t expect that the Air 2 Pro will introduce this feature. However, it is a step in the right direction for the Chinese manufacturer. It is following the current flagship trend that is obtainable in today’s market. What do you think about this device?
