Xiaomi is already releasing the MIUI 12 (Android 11) beta for some of its smartphones especially flagships. According to netizens, the Redmi K30i 5G is now getting its first MIUI 12 (Android 11) development beta. As usual, this is only a beta update and it will probably come with a lot of bugs. If you are not good with betas, it is best to sit out this one.

According to Xiaomi’s official announcement, these are the major features to look out for in this update
- Adds watermarks for text attractions in Mi Album: Yellow Crane Tower, Jiuzhaigou, Mount Tai, Mount Hua, Lijiang, Yading, Daocheng, Wuzhen, etc
- New Filters: cold smoke, hills, autumn colors, Kamakura, fantasy, etc
- Users can now rename photos and video files
- Adds a new feature that allows users to sort albums by update time
- New Sticker: cartoon sticker dinosaur series.
- Optimize the performance of the album, fix some problems, and improve the experience of using the album.
In addition, due to the roll-out of the major Android upgrade, some phones are no longer getting the internal beta. The likes of Redmi K30, Xiaomi CC9 Pro, and Redmi K20 are in this group
The new Redmi K30i is equipped with a Snapdragon 765G processor, a 120Hz flow rate screen, a 48MP rear quad camera, and 6GB + 128GB configuration. For the colour options, it is available in two colours and comes with a 1799 yuan ($267)
At present, the latest MIUI 12 version of the Redmi K30i is V22.214.171.124.QGICMXM. This update is the MIUI 12 (Android 10) stable version. However, we do not know when the MIUI 12 (Android 11) stable version will hit this phone.

Redmi K30i takes most of the specifications and features from the Redmi K30 5G. The K30i sports a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel, with FHD+ resolution. The device also features a 120Hz refresh rate offering a buttery smooth experience. The HDR10 and Gorilla Glass 5 protection are also some highlighting features from the display sector. For 5G connectivity, Snapdragon 765G is powering the handset paired with 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB internal storage with UFS 2.1.
In the camera department, the Redmi K30i 5G comes with a 48-megapixel Sony lens. All its other three cameras are the same as the regular Redmi K30. It has an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
For selfies, the pill-shaped notch is housing a 20-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. A 4,500mAh battery is present supporting 30W fast charging. The phone comes out of the box with MIUI 11 based on Android 10. 5G support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, dual-frequency GPS, USB-C, 1217 ultra-linear speaker, smart PA loudspeaker, Hi-Res audio support, and 3.5mm audio jack are some of more specs the handset carries.
