This year it finally became clear that OnePlus is no longer trying to offer the maximum specs for the minimum money. Now the company is trying to find a balance in the middle segment and its model range is expanding. On October 26, it is due to unveil the OnePlus Nord N10 and OnePlus Nord N100, where the first device will be a simplified version of the OnePlus Nord and the other a model built from scratch.
The OnePlus Nord N10 is rumored to offer a 6.49-inch FullHD+ 90Hz display, Snapdragon 690 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a 4,300mAh battery. They promise a quad-camera with 64 Mp + 8 Mp + 2 Mp + 2 Mp sensors and fast 30-watt charging.
OnePlus Nord N100 will be the most affordable model in the history of the company, which will receive a 6.52-inch HD+ screen and a Snapdragon 460 processor. The smartphone will have a capacious 5000 mAh battery, and will also offer 4 GB of RAM, a 64 GB flash drive, an 8 MP selfie module and a main camera with 13 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP modules.
OnePlus will introduce the OnePlus 9 much earlier than expected
The still invincible coronavirus continues to sweep the planet, but smartphone manufacturers have already learned how to work and create in the current environment. And if the previously invincible virus influenced the release time of new products, forcing a number of smartphone manufacturers to postpone the release dates of devices, then they already intend to arrange future premieres of new models. Moreover, manufacturers intend to speed up and release significant new products ahead of schedule.
A number of online sources have suggested that Samsung is preparing to announce the flagship Galaxy S21 series about a month earlier than usual. Now a message has come that OnePlus intends to follow the same path. In particular, the premiere of the OnePlus 9 may take place as early as March 2021. As a rule, the company previously preferred to show its flagships in May or June. But in the case of the OnePlus 8, it moved away from that tradition and premiered it in mid-April. And if the latest predictions come true, then the OnePlus 9 will appears even earlier.
Why is the company in a hurry with the announcement? There may be several reasons. One of them is to participate in the leveraging of the share of Huawei, whose influence and presence in the market will weaken. There is also speculation that the company itself is aware that with the OnePlus 8T it offered a weak upgrade and that the smartphone is unlikely to get big sales. So, they need to hurry up with the release of a new generation of flagships so as not to lose potential buyers.
