Probably few OnePlus fans expected the company to be so productive this year and present so many new products. Six smartphones have been released, of which half are mid-range devices. The company has not abandoned plans to continue releasing flagships; and, according to rumors, may mark the early release of the OnePlus 9 series.
Here’s how the upcoming OnePlus 9 may look like
The announcement of the new line is predicted for March 2021, but now the first image has appeared on the network, which supposedly shows the future OnePlus 9. It was published by 91mobiles, claiming that they managed to get an exclusive CAD rendering of the future flagship. If we talk about design, then its key details will be a flat OLED display with a round hole for the front-facing camera in the upper left corner and a rear camera, which in its design is a bit like the one offered by OnePlus 8T.
True, the similarity is only in the form of the camera unit, but the design of the sensors is different. There are three sensors in total, and two of them are large. The source also indicates that the OnePlus 9 will offer a 6.55-inch 120Hz refresh rate screen, a 5nm Snapdragon 875 chip, 65W fast charging, and Android 11-based OxygenOS user interface.
These images should be treated with a healthy dose of skepticism. There is still a lot of time before the announcement, and almost certainly the final version of the OnePlus 9 has not yet been approved. This means that everything may still change; and we are waiting for more information from other sources to draw conclusions about the design of the new flagship.
The OnePlus 9 flagship series will be launched in three models
Today there are manufacturers who will rush to profit from the problems of Huawei and win over more fans to their side. That is why Samsung is in a hurry to announce the Galaxy S21 series. OnePlus will follow suit with the new OnePlus 9 flagship family. Rumor has it that it will premiere in March.
How about the new lineup will include three rather than two models? Network sources claim that in the case of the OnePlus 9, the company will increase the number of devices in the series to three, where the base variant received the LE2110 model number. Model numbers LE2117, LE2119 and LE2120 may be hiding regional versions of the OnePlus 9 Pro. The device with the LE2127 model number is also mentioned, which they tend to include in the OnePlus 9 series. Although, one should not exclude the option that the smartphone will enter the market as the OnePlus 9T.
Among the characteristics of the new products of the OnePlus 9 line are the Snapdragon 875 chip, an OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, IP68 protection, a couple of stereo speakers and NFC. The fast-charging power should be 65W. There will be no sub-screen camera here; but they will offer a round hole in the center of the upper part of the display.
