Today there are manufacturers who will rush to profit from the problems of Huawei and win over more fans to their side. That is why Samsung is in a hurry to announce the Galaxy S21 series. OnePlus will follow suit with the new OnePlus 9 flagship family. Rumor has it that it will premiere in March.
The OnePlus 9 flagship series will be launched in three models
How about the new lineup will include three rather than two models? Network sources claim that in the case of the OnePlus 9, the company will increase the number of devices in the series to three, where the base variant received the LE2110 model number. Model numbers LE2117, LE2119 and LE2120 may be hiding regional versions of the OnePlus 9 Pro. The device with the LE2127 model number is also mentioned, which they tend to include in the OnePlus 9 series. Although, one should not exclude the option that the smartphone will enter the market as the OnePlus 9T.
Among the characteristics of the new products of the OnePlus 9 line are the Snapdragon 875 chip, an OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, IP68 protection, a couple of stereo speakers and NFC. The fast-charging power should be 65W. There will be no sub-screen camera here, but they will offer a round hole in the center of the upper part of the display.
OnePlus 9 will be introduced much earlier than expected
A number of online sources have suggested that Samsung is preparing to announce the flagship Galaxy S21 series about a month earlier than usual. Then, a message has come that OnePlus intends to follow the same path. In particular, the premiere of the OnePlus 9 may take place as early as March 2021. As a rule, the company previously preferred to show its flagships in May or June. But in the case of the OnePlus 8, it moved away from that tradition and premiered it in mid-April. And if the latest predictions come true, then the OnePlus 9 will appears even earlier.
Why is the company in a hurry with the announcement? There may be several reasons. One of them is to participate in the leveraging of the share of Huawei, whose influence and presence in the market will weaken. There is also speculation that the company itself is aware that with the OnePlus 8T it offered a weak upgrade and that the smartphone is unlikely to get big sales. So, they need to hurry up with the release of a new generation of flagships so as not to lose potential buyers.
What the company will do with the release of the OnePlus 9, we will find out next year. And this month we can see two more new smartphones: OnePlus N10 and OnePlus N100. The first model should be the version of OnePlus Nord for the US market with the Snapdragon 690 chip; while the second will take the place of the company’s most affordable device and offer the Snapdragon 460 processor.
