New lines of code found in the latest MIUI 12 beta indicate that the Pro version of the upcoming Mi 11 series – Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro may have major display improvements.

Earlier, senior XDA Developers forum member kacskrz found mentions of several new display features in the MIUI 12 beta. These include MEMC, SDR to HDR conversion, and smart upscaling using artificial intelligence.

Now the same person has found new lines in the Settings app of the latest MIUI 12 based on Android 11 that indicate support for QHD+ resolution (3200 x 1440 pixels).

It also says that the display at this resolution consumes more power. There will also be a switch in the settings that automatically switches the display to a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels to save energy.

Since none of the existing Xiaomi devices support 3200 x 1440 pixels, this setting is likely to appear in the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro.

Most of this information does not specify the models in the series to have the feature. However, we now have specific information for the Xiaomi Mi 11. The information is coming from XDA Developers’ Editor-in-Chief, Mishaal Rahman. According to him, this smartphone will come with a Snapdragon 875 SoC, a 108MP triple camera, and a curved display. Also, the report shows that the rear camera will have a triple camera configuration. Furthermore, it will support 30x zoom as well as an ultra-wide shooter that also works for macro shots.

According to a recent leak, one of the Xiaomi Mi 11 series will come with a 4-in-1-pixel binning technology. The main camera of this phone will capture images at 50MP, however, the telephoto lens shows 12MP. As of now, we are not sure if it is a straight 12MP lens or a 4-in-1 48MP lens. Although 50MP lenses are not common, Huawei’s P40 previously used a 50-megapixel (RYYB, 23mm, F1.9 aperture) main lens. Furthermore, the main camera of this smartphone is a super-outsole model.
