OnePlus is developing a smartwatch that may use Google’s Wear OS platform. However, the company is also developing a cheaper smart band. Earlier this week, some details and photos of this band appeared online. Now, OnePlus has officially confirmed the release date of this smart band. OnePlus has sent an invitation to the media to announce that its first wearable device will be released at 11 am local time on January 11 in India. The OnePlus band will have any features that are on many bands in the market.
According to previous speculations, the OnePlus band will support SpO2 blood saturation monitoring, IP68 waterproof function, AMOLED screen, sleep tracking, and 13 sports modes. Furthermore, the price of the OnePlus band in India is about 2499 rupees ($37).
While OnePlus originally announced the existence of this band via its official Twitter channel, the company did not provide many details about its specifications or price.
However, this doesn’t mean that we are not aware of the key features of this device. Recently, Ishan Agarwal and Mukul Sharma gave more detailed information on the smart bracelet. According to them, the OnePlus Band will sport a 1.1-inch AMOLED color display. It will support 13 sports modes. This bracelet has an IP68 dustproof and waterproof certificate and will provide a 14-day battery life.

In addition to the key specifications, we also can take a look at the promo photos of the upcoming OnePlus Band. They disclose all the design elements of this product. Say, we see that it has a variety of color combinations and they all use a ridged silicone belt design.
Judging from the exposed renders, this band adopts a design similar to the OPPO bracelet. The main body has a square design, and it uses a detachable silicone strap. At least, it is available in three different colors of black, gray and blue.
In addition, OnePlus founder and CEO Liu Zuohu also announced that it will launch the first smartwatch at the beginning of the year. It uses a more traditional prototype dial design and runs on the Wear OS.
