Realme 8 Pro passes by Indonesia Telecom certification

Realme 8 Pro

Realme presented its 108MP camera solution to the world earlier this month. Now, the company is gearing up to unveil its first smartphone with this camera solution in the form of Realme 8 Pro. The new mid-range phone will be announced alongside the Realme 8 on March 25 in India. The duo of handsets should be more an incremental upgrade over the Realme 7 series in terms of performance. The real upgrade will be in the details.

Realme 8 Pro

The upcoming smartphones have started appearing through multiple certifications lately. Today, the Realme 8 Pro has passed by Indonesia Telecom certification. While the certification does not bring new details regarding the specifications, it does confirm that the phone really is the RMX3081 that has been leaking a lot lately. This particular model passed by USA’s FCC certification recently with a 4,500mAh battery and 65W fast-charging.

Realme 8 Pro alleged specifications

According to recent leaks, the Realme 8 Pro may stick with the same Snapdragon 720G found in the Realme 7 Pro, and Realme 6 Pro. This probably will be a major disappointment in the new handset. After all, users don’t tend to be satisfied when a brand continuously uses the same chipset for three generations. While the Snapdragon 720G is a good chipset, there are better offerings now such as the Snapdragon 732G. Hopefully, Realme will stick with the latest option. The handset will have 6GB and 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of Internal Storage. On the software front, users can expect Android 11-based Realme UI straight out of the box. The handset recently passed by GeekBench with 569 single-core and 1,711 multi-core scores.

While there still no information regarding the display on the Pro model, we believe that it will stick with an OLED panel. Realme has a 90Hz AMOLED display, so we believe that that will be kept with the Realme 8 Pro. The vanilla Realme 8, on the other hand, is likely going with an LCD display. The Realme 8 Pro will likely sport an in-display fingerprint scanner and a punch-hole camera.

The camera department probably is one of the highlights in the new mid-range phone. The handset is confirmed with a 108MP Quad-Camera setup. We expect Realme to bring a square-ish camera island with auxiliary ultra-wide, macro, and depth sensors. Unfortunately, there is no information about the front-facing camera.

According to a leak, Realme 8 Pro will come in Infinite Black, Infinite Blue, and Illuminating Yellow colorways.
