Apple to unveil new colored iMacs on its upcoming April 20 event

Apple has scheduled an event that should happen next Tuesday, April 20th. For now, everything indicates that the company will present new iPads with the revolutionary Mini-LED screen technology. The company may also reveal the possible final version of some of its software solutions. However, there are chances for the Cupertino giant to go much further, since the well-known and reliable L0vetodream revealed, on Saturday (17), that there is evidence indicating that Apple will present new models of the iMac.

The most curious point highlighted by the tipster is that the Cupertino company may be using the event’s logo to hide a surprise: the new iMacs can come in different colors. The tipster uses as an example the older models of the iMac’s G3 line. According to him, Apple can resume this market strategy with colorful iMacs. Nowadays, we’re seeing more and more colorful smartphones, and it’s natural to see companies trying to bring this trend back to the world of computers. Apple will certainly get some extra appeal due to the nostalgic feeling that it will bring to all those who experienced the colorful G3 models.

As expected, Apple will not comment on these leaks. However, L0vetodream publication corroborates with previous info shared by Jon Prosser. Prosser is a popular leakster that also shares some info about future Apple products very often. For those unaware, he revealed that Apple is expanding its color palette in the iMac lineup. Apparently, the company wants to follow the strategy adopted with the last year’s iPad Air. Besides the new multiple colorways, the new iMac computers will come with the latest Apple Silicon chipset and will introduce some design changes. As part of these design changes, the iMac models with 21.5-inch will become bigger with a 24-inch display. The 27-inch models will go up to 30-inch or even 32-inch.

These particular models have been revealed a couple of weeks ago in the macOS Big Sur beta 5 firmware update. Thankfully, we don’t need to wait much longer to know if these rumors are accurate. After all, Apple’s next big event will be happening in just a couple of days from now.

As far as the mini-LED iPads are concerned, the brand may announce them at the event. However, they might not reach the market immediately as the company is also suffering from a shortage in the mini-LED display supply.
